Wavescape has brought the massive to the independent, and Kwacinema has enjoyed it's run with Wavescape for this DIFF007. Tuesday and Wednesday saw the crowds drop a little (gettit? drop) becos the rain. still busy houses, and interesting bunch of peeps congregating. The PopCorn Machine has bin turning over at an alarming rate, producing a new breed of popcorn meisters, geared to increase your cinema experience.

Tonites Surfing experience was counterposed by a mad scramble against time and circumstance and rainy tarmac to get to watch the 'poopie' movie, that crazy schemed 'Aachi n Spacchi' well, Dy and I got to the Musgrave with just seven minutes off the start, but the good Doctor Ed broke the bad news-- sold out. not to waste a manic dash across town, we gt sum tea, and then dashed smack across town again, in an even larger state, to watch the laws of improbability and time bend themselves to catch the opening sequence. Schqwwweeeat!!!
so eventually, we settled down with a rad crowd to catch Princes. its screened a few times, but hey... itsa realli smartly imaged animation, moving from style to scene with a certain hey-ness about it. the storyline is just hardcore, the characters moving in their humanity and sense of destiny. the actual story seemed developed for this type of movie, rather than being sliced alive out of Life. nothing wrong with that, of course. ultimately a sad tale, Princes has gotten people talking positively about child pornography, and the untimely loss of innocence, much in the way that Bog Of Beast didnt. Except it was animated. Of course.
DIFF.007 as it enters the last weekend. WaveScape Feva has hit the surfing and film communities beeg time this week, with pulsing massive crowds. The opening night was packt like sardines inna can, yes it's true. No-one complained, cos the action on the screen was the real attraction.
